This is either :

A.) The Forza Horizon I really wanted to exist.

B.) The American equivalent of Gatebil.

Speaking of it, #Gridlife is certainly giving me the same sort of feeling Gatebil videos and articles do, hopefully it becomes more and more popular as exposure increases.

That was kinda our goal, never been to Gatebil but love the idea of what they are accomplishing overseas. Bringing everyone who loves cars together for a full on festival of speed, the car guy equivalent to edc grassroots and as pure as possible.

Amazingly I've been to both this year! Gridlife was great, more along the same lines as Driftworks' Awesomefest 3 or so years ago. Certainly more grassroots than Gatebil!

Over the 4 days I was there, they estimated 80'000 people came to it! The amount of money in cars is unbelievable, as are the standards. But that is Norway for you...

Gridlife was fun and affordable, and it has a lot of potential over the years to come, although once the big crowds come, you'll need a different track (start it on Thursday, track time starting Friday, everybody packed and left by 6pm or so Sunday). The music was better than at Gatebil for sure! (funny Norwegians and their love of local folk music)
